What's ConsultaTwenty-nine associated companies and organisations, thirty interventions effected, several millions euro invested, generous commitment and professional skill dedicated with an entrepreneurial spirit, a series of publications of restorations effected, a consolidated operative philosophy: this is the Consulta, a concrete and now successful answer to the needs of the historical heritage of Turin. Thus the Consulta set itself, in article two of its Statute, the objective of contributing to improving the situation of the cultural heritage of Turin, by organizing initiatives to benefit this heritage, to be financed by the co-operation of all the associates or some of them, with the possible co-operation of outside bodies. Right from the beginning Consulta has been characterised by some precise modes of operation: the Statute provides for a slim and effective organisation; the President is supported by an executive committee composed of five members, assisted by a treasurer and a secretary elected every tree years. Three committees were set up to select the proposals for intervention, to follow works in progress and to formulate a communication strategy: a technical committee, a committee for communication and a financial committee supported by the continuous specialist consultancy of an art historian. The choices are effected on the unanimous decision of the members, on the basis of the following criteria: the importance and urgency of the intervention; the rapidity and certainty that realisation will be authorised; annual or biannual duration; benefit for image.
